Robert Solomon, Chairman
Robert L. Solomon, II was born and raised in Akron Ohio. He is a graduate of David Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN and The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. He has worked as an Assistant Attorney General for the state of Ohio, a Franklin County Municipal Court Magistrate and an Assistant United States Attorney with the Department of Justice. Robert currently serves as Assistant Dean for Admission and Financial Aid and Director of Minority in the Moritz College of Law at Ohio State.
Robert has also served as a Youth Minister and currently the Marriage & Family Minster for the Genessee Ave. Church of Christ in Columbus, Ohio. Robert & his wife, Dinessa conduct marriage & family enrichment workshops throughout the country. They have two children: Lee and Allegra. Robert has also been active in the community in many capacities, serving on various Boards. He has been President of the local chapter of the National Bar Association and is currently the President of 100 Black Men of Central Ohio.
Robert Birt, Jr
Robert G. Birt, Jr. ‘Rob’ was born and reared in Jacksonville, FL. He and his beautiful wife Wendy have one daughter, Octavia (Keith) Wright and two grandchildren Zephan and Zamaria. Currently, Rob ministers in Toledo, OH at the Glass City congregation of the church of Christ. He served as minister of the Louisa Street Church of Christ in New Orleans, LA for eight years prior to relocating to Toledo.
Rob graduated from Southwestern Christian College in Terrell, TX in 1984. He also furthered his education at the Harding Graduate School of Religion and the Alabama Graduate School of Religion. In the years of 1985, 1987, and 1988 he was awarded the Outstanding Young Man of America Award. His hobbies include reading, fellowshipping with the saints, playing and watching basketball and football, and most of all spending quality time with his family.
Robert believes in ministry and the development of spiritual gifts in the young and older members of the Lord’s body. One of his favorite scriptures is Romans 12:1-2. The words that he lives by are: “Never look down on a man unless you’re looking down to lift him up!”
Antwan Booker
Antwan Booker is originally from Columbia, Tennessee. Antwan is a graduate of Capital University in 2007 with a major in Business Management.
He worked for the Dept. of Natural Resources in the EEO Dept for two years. He is currently enrolled in law school at Capital University Law School.
He is a member of the Genessee Avenue Church of Christ, where has attended since 2003. Antwan is also on the Ohio State Youth Conference committee. He teaches the teens bible class and guest speak on our youth Sundays.
Mikita Bush
Mikita Bush was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio. She attends the Glass City church of Christ. Mikita attended the Youth conference as kid and claims to have “never missed a youth conference yet!”.
In her home congregation she works with and on several committees with the Youth, Ladies and currently the Lectureship.
Her favorite scripture is Psalms 139. She lives by the saying “God is not through with me yet!”
Her Youth conference duties include working on the program and secondary facility contact to Universities.
Tamika Dobbins
Tamika Dobbins was born and raised in Paducah, Kentucky. As a teen, Tamika faithfully attended both the Midwest and National Youth Conferences. She graduated from Western Kentucky University with a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Communication and a Master’s degree in Organizational Development. Tamika currently works as a Hall Director at The University of Toledo, and is currently pursuing a second Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration.
Tamika is a member of Glass City Church of Christ, in Toledo, OH. At Glass City, Tamika serves as one of the directors of the United Acappella Chorus, is a youth worker, and is on the Women’s Conference Committee. Tamika became a member of the Ohio State Youth Conference in November 2008. Her conference responsibilities include Facilities and the Conference Chorus.
Tamika’s favorite scripture is Romans 8:28 – “And we know that all things work together for the good of those who love the Lord, and are called according to His purpose.”
Shawn Drummond
Shawn is a member of the Church of Christ at Lake & Walnut in Elyria, Ohio where she teaches Ladies Bible Class, is the Bible Bowl Coach, and Chairperson for the Youth Committee. She is also involved in the Hot Meal Ministry and the Married Couples Ministry. She is married to Leon Drummond Sr., and they have 3 adult children. Her children all attended the Ohio State Youth Conference and now she takes great pleasure as she watches her grandchildren do the same. Shawn recently retired from Moen Incorporated after 26 years as a Human Resources Representative. Shawn is the board member that is responsible for the pageant.

Patrick Lewis
Patrick Lewis was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio. He is married to Elondia and has three children, Lance 20, Lamar 15 and Lexis 11.
Patrick is a member of the Glass City church of Christ where he is the co-youth director. He has been working with youth at the church for almost twenty years. Patrick has served as youth director for the last 4 years and has served on the OSYC board for the last 10 years.
Patrick is responsible for all media for the conference which includes photography, designing and maintaining the OSYC website. Most of the tshirt art over the last 10 years were also designed by Patrick.
Karen Lovelace
Karen lives in Oberlin and attends the Lake & Walnut church of Christ in Elyria, Ohio. Karen has 3 children, and one precious grandchild Iyanna, who is 1 year old. Karen graduated from Southwestern Christian College and Abilene Christian College. After an early retirement from the Department of Human Services in Cleveland, Ohio in 2001 she went on to substitute teach for a few years and is now currently a part of the Title I Literacy team at Eastwood Elementary school in Oberlin, Ohio.
Growing up, she always attended the National Youth Conferences and knows how valuable Christian education and fellowship can be as she instilled in her own children April and Jason to attend the Ohio State Youth Conferences as well. She met Shawn Drummond, another OSYC board member, while attending fellowship meetings as youth and after many years reconnected at Lake & Walnut where they remain close friends to this day. Her passion is working with the youth at Lake & Walnut. She is a member of the youth committee there, teaches a spiritual growth class called G.I.F.T (Girls growing In Faith Together) and co-teaches the many time 1st place winners Bible Bowl team!!!!!! Her passion is also singing. She sings with Northeastern Ohio Metro Chorus, Lake Ridge Chorus chapter of Sweet Adelines International which is a worldwide organization performing barbershop harmony.
Karen is also president of the Northern Ohio SwCC Alumni Chapter, a member of the United Fund Workers for Southwestern Christian College, and is a member of the Oberlin City Schools Endowment Board. Karen’s favorite scripture is Phillipians 4:13 - I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
Rodney McFall
Rodney D. McFall, Sr. is a native of Cleveland, OH. He graduated from The University of Toledo with a degree in marketing. Rodney is married to Marquitta, and they have four children. He is an active member at the Church of Christ – Boulevard, in Cleveland, where he serves as a Deacon, Youth Director, and is active with both the business team and the Back to Pentecost organization.
Rodney’s passion consists of interacting and mentoring youth. He began interacting and incorporating problem-solving solutions with at-risk students and students at large within the Cleveland schools. He also provides youth guidance (leadership) with 15-25 teen students, mentoring, community service and sports/activities. In addition, Rodney is the leader of Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) with the Cleveland Glenville High School Football Team, and he is the team Chaplin for East Cleveland Shaw High School Football Team. Rodney is currently the Glenville/Shaw City Life Director within those area schools. Rodney’s outlook on the youth is this: “It is my goal to assist youth from their present status of no goals-no hope-no love, to fully know their purpose and talents through renewing their minds in Christ and mentoring them to achieve true success.”
